Interview with Marilyn was invited as an Official Selection for the 10th Oaxaca Film Fest in Mexico, on October 2019.
Its star and director Rosalinda Rodriguez and Agatino Zurría attended the event which drew an attendance of more than 200 filmmakers from around the world to the small and picturesque city of Oaxaca.
The festival opened in the historic and sumptuous Macedonio Alcalá Theatre, and for 5 more days showed the Best in short films from every corner of the world, until its closing award night at the Hotel Fortin Plaza.
Interview with Marilyn was lucky to be cited Finalist in this prestigious festival, where it was shown on Sunday 6th in a special venue called Cine Transformer: a new model of cinema that can be placed in any area, to present films to an audience of 90 people in each presentation.
We shared the screen with a fantastic documentary called 25 Texans in the Land of Lincoln, which showed how we can teach our children to respect and support their own roots and origins, and the short comedy It's Big about a simple visual joke that keeps us guessing.
We were able to participate in the Q&A after the presentation and an after-screening dinner with the best of Oaxaca’s culinary art.
