Rosalinda & Miguel Win Las Vegas

Last August was the annual AOF Megafest in Las Vegas, Nevada, gathering more than 10 film festivals in just one location and showing films for a full week, and this time what happened in Las Vegas, didn’t just stay in Las Vegas.

Interview With Marilyn was nominated in 5 categories in two of the 10 festivals: The Action On Film Festival 2020 and the Hollywood Dreams International Film Festival, and ended up winning Best Actress in a Short Film for ROSALINDA RODRIGUEZ and Best Supporting Actor for MIGUEL GARCIA in both festivals. The other nominations included Best Director, Best Picture and Best Poster.

The event has been created and produced by Del and Theresa Weston. Sadly, Del had to be interned in a hospital during the event and passed away on August, 24, which put a sad note to this year’s double Issue Megafest.

As the showed continued, many filmmakers and creators went home with their winning awards, and to Interview with Marilyn, it meant a Double Celebration.

Rosalinda Rodriguez, Mexican born actress, plays Marilyn Moreno, a Marilyn Monroe Wannabe who is interviewed in a show centered in her fame and long career. Miguel García, South Florida born actor plays Marilyn’s director, a guy that promises her just what she is looking for, but seems to not deliver them.

The film has been going to the film festival circuit, gathering more than 24 awards worldwide, and is still being selected to even more festivals. Well, who can simply deny the power of a Marilyn?
